MILTONSTONE / HOMEOWNER RESOURCES
Pool & Landscape Project Handover Checklist
A high-end backyard should be straightforward to enjoy. A clear handover connects the finished design with the controls, maintenance information and contacts you need afterwards.
Walk the property together
Review the project against the agreed scope with your project contact. Walk the main routes between the house, pool, barbecue, seating and garden. Record outstanding finishing items in one list, with photographs and an agreed next step. A shared record makes small details easier to resolve and keeps communication clear.
Collect product and finish information
Keep the names, colours and suppliers of paving, coping, wall units, decking and pool finishes. Record equipment models and serial numbers. Ask which products need registration and keep the applicable manufacturer warranty documents alongside your construction agreement. Product warranties and installation coverage can have different terms; retain both.
Learn the pool and lighting controls
Ask for a demonstration of the installed automation, pool lights, garden lighting and schedules. Confirm which functions are controlled by an app, a wall control or a separate timer. Keep the manuals for the equipment actually installed; settings and maintenance steps differ by model. Use the manufacturer’s operating instructions and qualified service support for equipment work.
Plan aftercare and the seasonal review
Discuss the first seasonal walkthrough, who to contact, and how to report an issue. Photograph the finished work as a baseline. After winter, note movement, drainage observations, loose finishes or lighting changes for review. The scope and timing of aftercare should be confirmed for your project rather than assumed from a general checklist.
Keep one project record
Store the drawings, finish schedule, invoices, inspection records supplied to you, manuals and service contacts in one folder. Your MILTONSTONE Project Butler is the central communication point for coordinating questions and next steps. A complete record also helps future maintenance teams understand what has been installed.
