THE SCOPE
Artificial Plants & Greenery in Oakville & the GTA
Use artificial greenery deliberately
A sheltered commercial corner, privacy screen or decorative installation may benefit from a considered artificial planting scheme. The aim is a convincing composition with appropriate scale and spacing, not a uniform wall of repeated pieces.
Specify for the actual environment
Indoor decorative products are not automatically suitable outdoors. Confirm UV exposure guidance, wind resistance, drainage, fixings and any fire-performance requirements for the location. Obtain current product documentation where the project requires it.
Blend with the wider landscape
Plan how artificial elements meet real planting, stone and built structures. Cleaning, access and eventual replacement should be possible without dismantling the whole installation. Living plants may remain the better option where light, soil and irrigation can support them.
A clear scope. A considered budget.
Begin with the intended result and a budget range. We establish the work to include, the options to compare and the responsibilities of the project team before the construction scope is finalized. Design helps reserve space, resolve connections and identify cost drivers while changes are still on paper.
Pricing depends on the property, access, quantities, selected systems and specialist work. Your written proposal should distinguish construction, design, permits, taxes and optional additions. Availability and the delivery team for specialist services are confirmed during project assessment.
What we review before work begins
- Indoor or exterior-rated product
- Fixings and wind exposure
- Fire-performance documentation where required
- Cleaning and replacement access
Start with the property address, photographs, any available survey and a description of your priorities. The approvals and inspection stages are confirmed for the actual design.
Your questions, answered.
Is artificial greenery maintenance-free?
No. It still needs cleaning, inspection of fixings and eventual replacement. The specification should describe expected exposure and care.
Can this be part of a complete landscape project?
Yes. Discuss the complete brief at the start so access, levels, materials and specialist work can be coordinated in one schedule. The agreed proposal sets out which services Milton Stone provides and which require a named specialist.
