THE SCOPE
Bio.design & Beach-Entry Pools in Oakville & the GTA
A shoreline experience at home
A beach-style entry can provide space to pause at the water’s edge and soften the transition from terrace to pool. The shallow area occupies real space: reserve enough of the layout for swimming, circulation, furniture and planting rather than treating the entry as an extra detail at the end.
Understand the selected system
Bio.design describes a proprietary beach-pool system using a waterproof membrane and a quartz-and-resin finish. A natural-looking finish does not establish how the water is treated. Confirm the filtration, sanitation, maintenance and winter-care requirements for the actual system being proposed.
Specialist coordination from the beginning
We plan the pool setting, access and landscape integration around the chosen construction system. Manufacturer supply, installer requirements and regional availability must be confirmed before a Bio.design product is contracted. Engineering and local approval requirements are reviewed for the property; no manufacturer affiliation is implied.
A clear scope. A considered budget.
Begin with the intended result and a budget range. We establish the work to include, the options to compare and the responsibilities of the project team before the construction scope is finalized. Design helps reserve space, resolve connections and identify cost drivers while changes are still on paper.
Pricing depends on the property, access, quantities, selected systems and specialist work. Your written proposal should distinguish construction, design, permits, taxes and optional additions. Availability and the delivery team for specialist services are confirmed during project assessment.
What we review before work begins
- Usable swimming area versus shallow entry
- Surface samples and maintenance instructions
- Pool enclosure and drainage strategy
- Confirmed manufacturer and specialist scope
Start with the property address, photographs, any available survey and a description of your priorities. The approvals and inspection stages are confirmed for the actual design.
Your questions, answered.
Is a beach-entry pool the same as a natural swimming pond?
No. Shape and finish describe the appearance; the treatment system determines how the water is managed. Compare the complete technical proposal, not just the image.
Can this be part of a complete landscape project?
Yes. Discuss the complete brief at the start so access, levels, materials and specialist work can be coordinated in one schedule. The agreed proposal sets out which services Milton Stone provides and which require a named specialist.
