What does ICF mean?
ICF stands for insulated concrete forms. The forms remain around the concrete structure; the pool also needs an appropriate structural design, lining and mechanical system.
Are ICF pools the same as fiberglass pools?
No. A fiberglass pool uses a manufactured shell. ICF is a construction method for a concrete structure and follows a different design and installation process.
Does insulation remove the need for heating or a cover?
No. Pool use, weather, water temperature and exposed surface area still influence heat loss. Heating and cover choices should be assessed for the entire system.
What information helps you prepare a proposal?
